Our congregation previously participated in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's study of sexuality. We listened with respect and the desire to understand to the diverse opinions of each other, which were reflected also in the study material. The ELCA is completing the study process by considering a DRAFT of the document that will be presented in August, 2009, to the Churchwide Assembly. Our congregation will conduct its own review of the material (meeting after the 10:30 AM service on Sundays during May) and submit a report to the greater church. Please bring salad or sandwiches to share, and we'll meet in the conference room.
